CANDACE PRESSER, LCSW

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides treatment to adolescents, adults, couples, families and groups.  My areas of specialization include anxiety, depression, addiction and recovery, relationship and family dynamics, parent support and fertility issues.  With over 20 years of experience, I utilize an eclectic approach that offers my clients an honest, compassionate, nurturing and safe space in which to learn more about themselves and how to overcome the obstacles that interfere with their goals.

I collaborate with various treatment centers throughout the country and exceptional professionals in the field and feel grateful that they continue to refer their clients and patients to my practice for ongoing therapy during and after treatment.  In addition to private practice, I have worked at some of the most well respected  treatment centers in the Los Angeles area as a residential and outpatient therapist assisting clients and their families with navigating their way through treatment to gain a better understanding of their addictions, co-occurring disorders and learn how best to manage them.  At various treatment centers, I have provided individual and family therapy, facilitated multiple groups including trauma, grief and loss and co-facilitated family workshops.

I obtained my Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California.  Directly after graduate school, I began working in a group private practice where I gained tremendous therapeutic experience with individuals, couples, families and groups.

Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked as a long-term substitute teacher for the Las Virgenes Unified School District where my passion to help others achieve their goals was initially sparked. I continue to feel grateful to work in a profession where I can fulfill my passion: to witness and assist in others’ journeys of transformation.
