We like to be prepared. We prefer to know what we’re getting ourselves into, know how to plan and take our steps cautiously and wisely. There’s a sense of safety in the knowing as opposed to complete spontaneity. Yet we all know, all too well, that life rarely happens the way we plan it and that most of life and even some of the best moments happen in between our plans. It’s in the candid shots of life that we see the raw and real vulnerability, the sides to ourselves that aren’t filtered or posed. Life is a balance of plans and the utter unknown. Practice the art of balancing the planning with spontaneity, structure with flexibility, preparing with flowing, decision making with openness and always trusting the process. While we can all pose for a picture, sometimes the candid shots tell a whole different story. Be open to the whole story that’s unfolding in front of you.
